Environmental Assessments – School Inclusion Program
Schools may require occupational therapists to assess and report when applying for environmental modifications. Our OTs can prepare a report to comprehensively assess the school environment and identify necessary modifications to enhance student safety, mobility, and inclusion.
Based on detailed observations and evaluations, this report will highlight specific areas where environmental changes are required to support the diverse needs of the student population. These modifications are crucial not only for ensuring the physical safety of students but also for fostering an inclusive educational setting that accommodates students with a wide range of abilities.
The recommendations aim to secure appropriate funding to implement these changes, promoting a more accessible and supportive learning environment for every student.
